Instagram Polaroid Magnets

When I was in high school, I took my Polaroid I-Zone camera everywhere. I loved that I could take a mini picture and stick it on my locker door. Now, at the risk of sounding old, I don’t have physical pictures anymore. They’re all stuck on my phone or computer. So the crafty lady inside me said why not bring the Polaroid back? Here is a fun easy craft that takes your Instagram pictures and turns them into a cute Polaroid style magnet.

Polaroid pics

You will need:

  • Printed copies of your Instagrams (or regular photos) about 1 square inch
  • Foam Board
  • Tacky glue
  • Magnets
  • Xacto knife

Carefully cut the foam board so there is a small border around the top and sides of the photo and about a ½ inch space on the bottom. I suggest using a straight edge to do the cutting, I did not have one available and some of my edges are wobbly. Don’t forget to use a cutting board too, the last thing you need are scratches on your crafting table.

Dollop a small amount of glue to adhere the photo. When the photo is securely in place and dry, glue the magnet on the backside and let dry.

You can write notes on the space or just keep them as they are. Liven up your fridge or workspace with your favorite pictures! Make themed magnets for weddings or new baby. Anyway you make them, everyone will love these treasured tokens.
