Holiday Hopper

Holiday Hoppers

Adult version of the Shamrock Shake and first cousin to the Grasshopper, the Holiday Hopper is a minty fresh libation!

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz Midori melon liqueur
  • 1/2 oz green creme de menthe
  • 1/2 oz white creme de cacao
  • 2 oz half and half
  • Mint leaves for garnish (optional)
  • Raspberry for garnish (optional)

Preparation:

  1. Pour the ingredients into cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  2. Shake well.
  3. Strain into a cocktail glass.
  4. Garnish with a mint leaves and a raspberry.

but since the people over at BevMo pulled the wrong liquor to fulfill my order, we did things a little differently. They accidentally handed my husband a green bottle of creme de menthe as well as a white one, instead of the white creme de cacao! So it was extra minty! Not that that’s a problem, it still tasted  excellent! Seeing as I had a bottle of Smuckers chocolate sauce in my fridge and chocolate shavings from making tiramisu, we dressed up the glasses to give it that chocolatey kick! Bringing in the extra special Christmas portion, we added a holiday favorite, a chocolate dipped candy cane!

Since we made this for a party, it helped to multiply the recipe by 8 and have about a half pitcher’s worth. The greatest part as host, make it prior to your party, and it’s a self serve drink for your guests!

Between you and me, I bet this drink we be to die for if you added a scoop of ice cream to it…

cheers!

I certainly need one of those. Wish I could just click on the photo and have one appear…shouldn’t computers be able to do that by now? 😀
