This past Halloween, I was looking for a way to put candy out for people to eat, but in a decorative way. While I was shopping at one of my favorite stores for great, cheap finds – The Dollar Tree, I found some simple, yet cute vases/candle holders. I grabbed three of those, some ribbon, and stickers – which came to a whopping $5.00!
With a little fun, I was able to create these cuties. You can fill them with candy like I did (I used hot tamales, M&M’s, and candy corn) or put candles inside. It is so simple, so cheap, and so fun!
I went back to the store and grabbed three more vases and some mini Christmas bulbs of varying colors. Throw those inside and viola! You have a great dining table centerpiece.
Supplies:
· 3 Vases – $3
· Orange Ribbon – $1
· Halloween Stickers – $1
Instructions:
1. First, cut the ribbon to size.
2. Decorated the ribbon with a black sharpie. On one, I wrote, “Happy Halloween”. On another, I randomly drew polka dots. It’s really up to you!
3. Use crazy glue or a hot glue gun to secure ribbon to the glass.
4. Have fun applying as many, or as little, stickers as you want!
What a cool idea for a table favor for all your guests and or a cute gift for friends, family and co-workers. Fun, inexpensive and you can dress them to fit any occasion. Thanks OAM!
