S’mores Bars

July’s Ladies’ Night – The Spread

What dessert says summer better than S’mores?  These bars make it possible to enjoy the camping favorite anytime, no campfire needed!

Combine: 3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs, 1 1/3 cup flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1/8 tsp salt

In a separate bowl cream: 1/2 cup softened butter and 3/4 cup sugar, add and beat in 1 egg and 1 tsp. vanilla.  Now add the dry mixture from the other bowl and mix well.  Grease a 9 x 9 pan and press half of the mixture into it.  Place a layer of Hersey’s chocolate bars (5 of the 1.55 oz ones) over the dough.  Spread a 7 oz container of marshmallow creme over the chocolate and crumble the remaining dough over the top.  Bake in a 350 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes, cool, cut and enjoy!

Oh hell to the yes! That is one dangerous pan of delicious awesomeness you’ve got there. And the beauty is that it can be made all year round, instead of only in the summer over a campfire. Brilliant!
