Who needs Harry when you have Hermione?

I just love it when I see well-written female characters in films and TV shows. I cheer when I see a woman who is strong and savvy without being a bitch; who’s feminine, but not a damsel in distress, and most importantly, who isn’t basically just a man in a dress. So thank you, J.K. Rowling, for giving us Hermione Granger and the women of Hogwarts.

Don’t get me wrong, Harry Potter is a great wizard and all-around nice guy, but where would he be without all those kick-ass witches to bail him out when he’s in a pinch? Dead in a Devil’s Snare at age 11! That’s where!

So for all you Potter fans out there, here’s a little featurette from the “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2” Blu-ray called “The Women of Harry Potter.” It’s 22 minutes long, but lots of fun!
